The Purpose of Scouting is:-

The purpose of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The Scout Method:-

The Scout Method provides an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, which is guided by adult leadership. In practice the method is best seen when young people, in partnership with adults, are:

• enjoying what they are doing;
• learning by doing;
• participating in varied and progressive activities;
• making choices for themselves;
• taking responsibility for their own actions;
• working in groups;
• taking increasing responsibility for others;
• taking part in activities outdoors;
• sharing in prayer and worship;
• making and living out their Promise.

Scout Groups:-

Scouting is run on a Group Basis and all parents play a vital role in supporting the Scout Group. The Sections that make up a Scout Group are:-

• Beaver Scout Colony: Beaver Scouts are aged 6 to 8 Years;
• Cub Scout Pack: Cub Scouts are 8 to 10½;
• and Scout Troop: Scouts are aged 10½ to 14 years.

From 14 years to 18 years of age, teenagers can join the Explorer Scouts, which are run on a District basis. A District includes a number of Scout Groups

From 18 to 25 years, we have Network Scouts which are run on an Area Basis. The Area will include a number of Districts.
